Connecticut shade normally comes from the Connecticut River Valley or from Ecuador. This one is grown in Nicaragua — an unusual choice and the whole point of the cigar.
Nicaraguan soil gives the shade leaf more body and a sweeter edge than the usual versions. Smooth but not thin. Sizes from a Bully up to a six by sixty magnum.
