In 2000 Nick Perdomo planted an experimental crop on a virgin field he called Lot 23. It produced a very small harvest, the tobacco turned out exceptional, and the name stuck.
The Gordito at 4.5 by 60 is short and wide — a lot of smoke in not much time. Smooth and mellow, with cedar and a light sweetness. An easy cigar that does not feel cheap.
