Fonseca was founded in Cuba in 1892 by Francisco E. Fonseca, then owned by the Quesada family for forty-five years. The García family took it on and rebuilt the blend.

A genuine multi-family heritage brand, made in the modern Nicaraguan style — cedar, sweet spice and a clean finish. Sizes include a 4.2-inch petite corona and the traditional Cosacos.

Wrapper: Nicaraguan Habano
Binder: Nicaraguan
Filler: Nicaraguan long-filler
Strength: Medium
Sizes: Petite Corona (4.2" x 40), Cosacos (5.3" x 42), Belicoso (5.2" x 54), Cedros (6.2" x 52)

The Cosacos at 5.3 by 42 is a proper old-fashioned shape. Worth trying for that alone.
