The La Palina 1948 was created to commemorate the 75th birthday of Bill Paley, chairman of La Palina. Made in Oliva's Tabolisa Factory in Esteli, Nicaragua, this cigar comes in four vitolas, each with their own nuances, with the Diadema being limited to just 500 boxes.
Consisting of an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper alongside a Nicaraguan binder and Nicaraguan fillers grown by Oliva, the La Palina 1948 bursts at the seems with notes of cedar, natural vanilla sweetness, soft pepper, and baking spices. While not overpowering, this cigar maintains a complex and full-flavored profile throughout every puff.
