Glen Case, founder of Kristoff Cigars, wanted to create a cigar to commemorate the longstanding relationship between himself, his dear friend Chuck Finch, and his late mentor, Rolando Villiamil. Together, they are Tres Compadres, and thus, the meaning behind the cigar came into light. 
Atypical for Kristoff, this cigar is a Nicaraguan puro. Filler leaves from Esteli, Jalapa, and Condega are bound by another leaf of Condega, and the whole thing is wrapped in a silky Nicaraguan Habano. Per Kristoff Cigars: 'The Kristoff Tres Compadres has sourced the finest tobaccos from Jalapa, Esteli, and Condega Nicaragua to develop a rich, complex, blend with notes of sweet cedar, toasted almond, spice and a creamy finish.'
