A single-origin idea: the wrapper, binder and a good part of the filler come out of Mexico's San Andres valley, which is where the world's best maduro leaf grows. The result tastes like the region — dark, sweet, mineral, a little earthy.
San Andres tobacco is naturally sweet without any added flavoring, and this blend leans into that. Molasses and cocoa up front, a coffee-grounds bitterness in the middle, and a long finish that lingers well past the ash.
