Stalk-cutting means the whole plant is harvested and hung to cure with the leaves still attached, so the tobacco draws on the stalk as it dries. It takes longer and produces a rounder, sweeter leaf.
Willy Herrera built this around a Brazilian Arapiraca wrapper cured that way. Dark chocolate, sweet earth and a coffee finish, with a smoothness the process is directly responsible for.
