El Rey de los Habanos was the name of Don Pepin Garcia’s original factory in Little Havana, Miami, USA. So too was named one of the factory’s earliest releases, El Rey de Los Habanos. After a near decade hiatus, this classic returns with a tweaked blend and a ton of the My Father/Don Pepin character that’s captivated the hearts of cigar enthusiasts and dominated the Top 25 ratings board over the last decade. Handcrafted in Nicaragua at My Father cigars, this namesake brand pays homage to Don Pepin Garcia’s roots. Officially dubbed E.R.H., it’s an important brand, and the blend was developed with appropriate scrutiny. A dark and oily Sumatra rosado oscuro wrapper marries with a 3-region blend of Nicaraguan tobaccos from Condega, Esteli, and Jalapa. This combination is near perfect, delivering notes of cocoa, sweetness, pepper, and a touch of cedar on the finish. Plenty of flavor, but medium in body, this is one you can burn over and over again.
