Bourbon and horse racing are both Kentucky institutions, and this Diesel release leans on the first to salute the second. The tobaccos are aged in barrels that previously held Rabbit Hole's Raceking bourbon, which leaves its mark before a single leaf is rolled.
What comes through is a sweetness that sits underneath the smoke rather than on top of it — no artificial flavouring, just the residue of good wood and good whiskey. Rich, rounded and easy to spend an hour with.
