Three maduro leaves — wrapper, binder and filler all fermented dark. Almost nobody builds a cigar this way, because triple-fermented tobacco is difficult to get burning evenly.
The payoff is a depth of sweetness you cannot fake: bitter chocolate, espresso, roasted nuts and a syrupy finish. Rich enough that a Robusto is plenty for most people.
