In 2015, the co-owner of Black Label Trading Co., James Brown, launched a new brand, named Black Works Studio to make unique premium cigars. Following on the heels of their first release Killer Bee, that came out stinging, BWS has released an extension to that blend, The Hornet.
Much like the Killer Bee uniqueness of having natural wrapper striped around the cap, The Hornet uses, you guessed it... Candela tobacco strips wrapped around a dark, delicious Ecuadorian Maduro wrapper to create the same look. To enhance the cigar, Brown also included a Candela wrapper around the foot of the cigar. Inside lays a combination of Nicaraguan Habano binder and Nicaraguan fillers that complete the full-bodied profile. Your palate will become ignited by a rich natural sweetness enhanced with notes of earth, leather, dark cocoa, espresso bean, grass and black pepper that remain prominent throughout the entire burn.
